Since a long time I was planning on offering some of my old music as MP3s and some videos that I made for download, finally I have found the right software to convert all the stuff. The recordings were in many cases made with analog home equipment, so if your one of the people that hear music with a measuring tool or dbmeter, you're wasting your time. If you hear with your ears instead, give it a try!

| Thomas Struszka - Musik zum Auftragen eines Galadinners | MP3 |
 | |
|
A piece I recorded in the 80's using a Roland Juno 60 Synthesizer, a flanger and 2 taperecorders. In lack of a multitracking recording unit, I had to dub it playing one track after the other to the last one recorded, thus it has kept a lot of it's dynamics for luck. Also the whole thing was an improvisation, but you won't notice this... I lucked out on this one. |
| Thomas Struszka - 49th Eutanasia | MP3 |
 | |
|
This title has been worked over and over again for nearly 10 years. I never was content with the result and started it again when I had the feeling the last version or recording was not good enough. This was supposed to be the final version, but ironically it was never finished, so this track is missing a few instrumental tracks and never was really mixed of course. Still it's the best version of the song I ever made. It had a lot to say...kinda... |
| Thomas Struszka - My Way | Midi |
 | |
|
A new title, recorded in 2003 on the computer. An instrumental version of My Way that probably would give Frankieboy the hiccups (yesterday someone told me he got the hiccups rather fast anywise)...I had a lot of fun with it. Oh yes, I'm still alife I think.... I have to give credit to an unknown keyboarder who made parts of the base midi - unfortunately I have no clue who it was. |
| Thomas Struszka - Walzt in Dark | Video |
 | |
|
One of my attempts of making a music video. It has its flaws. And warning: I did not cut a lot down on the qulity for the web. Unless you have a T1 connection, don't try to stream it. Rightclick and "save as" instead. Half stampsized videos give me the hives, I won't even start with that. Prepare for a longer download (44.7MB) |
| Virago - Auf der Strecke | MP3 |
 | |
|
Virago (earlier Vermillion Virago) was my first and longest lasting band. This title was actually produced in munich as the b-side for the single "Tod in der Disco" in a halfways professional studio. The record was never released though, as the manager was a wannabee out on fast cash and the producer was mainly interested in stupid german "Schlagers", the only music I know that is even more stupid than country music.... We ended up with one cassette-recording of the hastily sone 2-hour mix, and this MP3 is still coming from a copy of the tape. It's been long, was the time of the german new wave in the early 80s,and my memory for years is useless. Virago was: Miguel Casado (Git),Holger Juenkersfeld (dr), Angelika Wille (keyb), Martin Wollek (bass) and me (Voc & Keyboards). |
| Lolita Lovers - Razors Edge | MP3 |
 | |
|
The Lolita Lovers were the next project following Virago, in a time when the name was provoking but not "thoughtcrime" yet, as it has been established by the big brothers of the world now. This band could probably have made out well, if personnel changes that brought back in the influences of the "good old" normal rockmusic in the later phase of the band, which usually are not good for anything but "this has to be done like this and musical handymanship is more important than the spirit to create" would have caused it to fall into pieces. Unfortunately no good quality-recordings exist... this here was recorded with 1 microphone hanging in the room, so don't expect hifi. Lolita Lovers were Michael Leidel (git),Martin Wollek (dr & voc),Christian (darn I forgot your family name) (Keyb), Thomas Schumacher (bass) and me (Voc & Keyb). |
I will add more titles soon.
